NGL One: roccat beats Alternate

The consolidation final ended just moments ago. An intense match where the two teams switched who dominated almost constantly.

The consolidation final with the best Finnish team and for now the best German team. roccat and Alternate battling out, which of the two, gets to face fnatic in the grand final.

Alternate started off with taking the control on nuke, but roccat wouldn’t just let them have it without a fight. roccat came back into the match, but Alternate just had a little more to give on nuke and took it home 16:13.

Off to train where roccat got serious. They would not be losing to this team and place third. roccat regained the strength they lacked on nuke, and despite the fact that they started T on this CT dominated map, roccat gathered 8 rounds, making it extremely hard for Alternate to win this map. roccat did not loosen up as CT, Starting with taking the gun-round and the following 7 rounds making it a total of 16:7 for roccat. Once again a third map was needed to decide who would win this match.


Inferno was the playground to settle who was in and who was out. roccat once again took the gun-round. Second round Alternate surprised roccat, mooN and approx took out four roccat players, leaving lurppis left along in a 1v2. lurppis managed to quickly take out approx, but the bomb was planted so he had to hurry. mooN was playing it smart stepping back and forth around the side-halls. lurppis got tricked first time, but second time he kept defusing. The bar was down to the very last millimeter, when lurppis defused it a instant later, while mooN came in knifing him, but it was too late. With rifles Alternate was able to bring home the first round, as paN and Roman R., took out the entire roccat team and defused the bomb. From this point on, the teams switched taking control of the match and splitting rounds evenly. First half went to Alternate with 8:7.
Alternate did not have any more fuel left in the tank for second half. roccat led by naSu killing most of Alternate constantly, roccat simply ran across Alternate, gathering the 9 rounds they needed.

This leaves Alternate placing third while roccat will have another go, trying to defeat fnatic in the grand final. Since its best of three maps and double elimination, it might confuse some, how the final will be played. I will explain it for you:

fnatic have to win 1 x BO3, meaning either 2-0 or 2-1. roccat have to win 2 x BO3, meaning either 2-0 or 2-1. Tune in at 18:00CET to watch the grand final for this last edition of NGL One CS finals. fnatic being defending title holders, I believe roccat really want to win this.
